Luxor — Aswan

Day 1 – Saturday

Transfer to Fantasia Dahabiyain Luxor for a relaxing week sailing the nile on a luxuriosly appointed Dahabiya. After lunch, excursion to the West Bank for visits to the bureal places of the Pharaos – the Valley of the Kings – whee Howard Carter discovered the tomb of  Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the temple  of Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.  Overnight moored on the Nile banks of Luxor.

Day 2 – Sunday

You will visthe magnificent temple complex of Amon-RA at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of  134 columns – Luxor Temple. Overnight moored in Luxor.

Day 3- Monday

This will be a leisure day. After breakfast, commence sailing to Esna where your Dahabiya will moor overnight.

Day 4 - Tuesday

Sailing to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu. Overnight moored besde a Nile island.

Day 5 - Wednesday

Sailing to Kom Ombo to see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocedile god Sobeck an dthe falcoon-headed Horus, god of the morning sun. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

Day 6 - Thursday

A leisure day sailing to Assuan whre the Dahabiya moores overnight.

Day 7 - Friday

This day you will visit the Aswan High Dam, completet in 1971, and the Old Dam, completet in 1902. Additionally the Philae-Temple which was dedicated to the godhead Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of the Laje Nasser at the time of the High Dam´s construction. Finally the unfinishes obelisk.

Day 8 - Saturday

The last breakfast aboard Dahabiya FANTASIA followed by disembarkation.
