Aswan — Luxor

Day 1 – Saturday

Transfer to Fantasia Dahabiya and embarkation in Aswan. Overnight the ship moors on the Nile banks of Aswan.

Day 2 – Sunday

This day you will visit the Aswan High Dam, completet in 1971, and the Old Dam, completet in 1902. Additionally the Philae-Temple which was dedicated to the godhead Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of the Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam´s construction and the unfinished obelisk.

Day 3- Monday

Morning sail to Kom Ombo to see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocedile god Sobeck an dthe falcoon-headed Horus, god of the morning sun. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

Day 4 - Tuesday

Sailing to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

Day 5 - Wednesday

This will be a leisure day. After breakfast, commence sailing to Esna and onwards to Luxor, where your Dahabiya moores overnight.

Day 6 - Thursday

Excursion to the West Bank to visit the great bureal places of the Pharaos – the Valley of the Kings – whee Howard carter discovered the tomb of  Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to  the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the temple  of Medinet habu and the Colossi of Memnon.  Overnight moored in Luxor.

Day 7 - Friday

This morning you will visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of  134 columns, followed by the imposing 28th Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight moored in Luxor.

Day 8 - Saturday

The last breakfast aboard Dahabiya FANTASIA followed by disembarkation.
